Here’s a CLUE of where you should be in Orange County this November
Santa Ana, California – This November, an 80’s cult classic is coming back to the big screen for one night only at the Frida Cinema. On Friday, November 9th, the theatre will proudly present a special screening of Clue: The Movie.
The crew behind the new “making of” documentary, Who Done It, will be in attendance as well. Doc director Jeff Smith worked closely with the Frida Cinema to bring Clue to the Orange County audiences. “Clue is such a fun movie to watch with an audience of fans. It’s even more fun to see it with people who are viewing it for the first time!”
Smith will be there with his camera to record audience reaction and fan testimonials. “The fans are a big part of the documentary. They’re the ones who have taken an 80’s film that didn’t do so great when it came out and made it the phenomenon it is today. We want to know what makes this movie so special to them.”
To make the evening 100% Tim Curry friendly, the Frida Cinema will show The Rocky Horror Picture Show immediately after Clue.
Tickets are now available at www.TheFridaCinema.org.
The Frida Cinema is located at 305 E. 4th St. #100, Santa Ana, CA. 92701.

Wadsworth: “Very Well. I Know Who Did It.”
The mysteries of “Clue: The Movie” are the subject of new documentary.
(Los Angeles, CA) In 1985, a murder mystery starring some of the greatest comedians in Hollywood was released to less than stellar box office. The film was based on a board game, it had three endings playing in different theaters and came out in a year when audiences were flocking to another Christopher Lloyd starring comedy.
That film is Clue: The Movie, and it’s the subject of the currently-in-production documentary, WHO DONE IT. Director Jeff C. Smith has assembled original cast members Michael McKean, Lesley Ann Warren, Colleen Camp, Lee Ving and director Jonathan Lynn to participate in brand new interviews recalling their days in Mr. Boddy’s mansion.
“Clue has quietly become one of the most popular cult classics still screening around the country and this documentary really celebrates that” remarked Smith. “The closest thing to a negative comment is when Lesley Ann Warren chimes in on the possibility of a Clue reboot.”
This week, the filmmakers released a brand new “work in progress” teaser which was originally created just for the Clue cast to keep them up to date on how the documentary was coming along. But after attending a screening of the original film at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery over the weekend with over a thousand fans, Smith took a stab in the dark (pun intended) that more people would be interested in knowing this new project was happening.
The teaser can be found at http://www.cluedoc.com./
More interviews are scheduled in the near future so see checking back to see who else done it!
